StorySub
Privacy
Updated October 9, 2026
This policy explains how StorySub, operated by Victor Moreno, handles the data needed for your account, purchases, and video editing. For questions or requests about your data, email [email protected].
What we receive
- Account: your Apple-provided identifier, first and last name, and the email shared during sign-in. You can use Apple's Hide My Email.
- Content for editing: videos, audio, project names, editing instructions, transcripts, and technical data needed to create the result.
- Purchases: transaction identifiers, the plan purchased, purchase status, and your credit balance. Apple processes payments; StorySub does not receive your card number.
- Operation: installation identifier, task status, error logs, and, if authorized, a notification token for processing updates.
How we use this data
We use this data to authenticate your account, carry out requested edits, manage credits, provide support, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations. Processing needed to provide the service is based on performance of the contract. Optional permissions follow your choices, and mandatory records are retained when required by law.
iPhone permissions
The camera and microphone capture content you choose to record. The Photos picker lets you select files to import. Permission to save to Photos lets you export your result. Manage these permissions in iPhone Settings. Denying a permission only prevents the feature that needs it.
Cloud processing and providers
When you request an automatic edit, you send the necessary material to our servers. Depending on the workflow, we may use Cloudflare R2 storage, AI analysis through GenAI/CreatorDesk infrastructure and Google Gemini, Deepgram transcription, and CleanVoice or Auphonic audio processing. Apple provides authentication, payments, and notifications. These services may process data in other countries.
StorySub uses your content to deliver your requested edit. We do not sell your recordings or use them for advertising. Infrastructure and processing providers receive only the data needed for their role and are also subject to their own policies and terms.
Where projects are stored and for how long
Your projects and original app files stay on your iPhone. Your credit balance is associated with your account on the server. StorySub does not provide a project library synced across devices: export videos you want to keep.
Media copies from completed edits are scheduled for removal from processing storage after seven days. Incomplete uploads expire after 24 hours. Editing metadata, transcripts, and technical records may remain as needed for history, support, and account operation. Purchase and security records may be retained for legal obligations and fraud prevention.
Deleting your account and exercising your rights
Go to Projects → My account → Delete my account to close your account. Your session is revoked, Apple access is deauthorized, your profile is removed, and your credit balance becomes unavailable. That account's projects in the app are removed. Files already exported to Photos or shared remain in their chosen destinations.
Server media and processing data are removed by a deletion routine that waits for ongoing tasks to finish. Isolated backups are no longer used by the service and follow their replacement cycle. Minimal transaction records may remain for legal compliance and to prevent purchase reuse.
You can also request confirmation of processing, access, correction, information about sharing, or deletion through the contact above. We may ask for information strictly necessary to confirm the request is yours.
Policy changes
We publish changes on this page with an updated date. Changes that materially affect your choices will be communicated through the service.
